KN Tax, the tax practice of Karanovic & Nikolic law firm, has promoted Bojan Stanivuk and Veljko Vukovic as Senior Associates of the firm. Previously a tax manager in PwC, Veljko Vukovic coupled those skills with the rank of a tax lawyer. KN Tax Team organized another working breakfast held at the Hotel In, on 3^rd of December 2009. Since the end of calendar year is time when companies are warming-up for statutory financial reporting, KN Tax Team decided that the topic of this KN Tax Breakfast should be: Filing of annual corporate income tax return. Presentation, which was held by Zoran Skopljak, Bojan Stanivuk and Veljko Vukovic, contained most relevant items of the return, with special consideration to the highlights in income tax interpretations and developments in 2009.

This year nine senior lawyers from Karanovic & Nikolic attended the prestigious International Bar Association conference held in Madrid from 5 to 9 October.

This event was an opportunity to attend show case presentations on a wide variety of legal issues facing clients and the profession in general.

KN - Karanovic & Nikolic launched Focus on Competition, the first ever Competition Yearbook at the Hyatt on Monday evening the 24th September, precisely two years from the date of passing the Competition law. This publication outlines the policy, regulations and work of the Competition Commission in Serbia and reviews the implications of EU accession on the market. Attended by Minister Predrag Bubalo and Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic, and the president of the Competition Commission and other Governmental bodies, this event was primarily focused on informing our clients and leading investors on this important regulation and impact it has on their business.
