As the real estate sector is developing rapidly much of the lending is to developers and by working together with colleagues from our specialized department, KN Real Estate, we ensure that the mortgages and security taken are the most appropriate.

We advise on banking law and regulatory issues, investment banking and equity finance.

The capital markets in the region are all experiencing rapid growth and interest from investors within the region and international institutional investors and funds. We act for investors as well as issuers, underwriters, agents, regulatory authorities, and stock exchanges. We assist in preparation for IPO and in other public offerings, take over bids, private placing, and international securities issues.

Together with KN Corporate lawyers, we advise a number of investment funds on issues ranging from corporate governance regulations, reporting requirements and minority shareholder issues. With our competition law specialists we work on all competition filings and notifications necessary with changes of control.

More and more international investors and banks are interested in offering new financial instruments to investors in our markets. We have provided advice on the regulatory requirements for hedging, futures, fx trading, swaps and other derivatives. In particular, we have advised on asset securitization and other asset based securities.

Due to the limited development of the markets we serve, we are often faced with the challenge of introducing new products and services to the regulator for approval. We enjoy excellent working relationships with Banking and Capital Market regulators.

A key element in the structuring of derivatives is an efficient tax structure. Working with our tax lawyers, we advise on the tax implications of various structures.
